CFA certificatio on deman
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is being administered by the CFA Institute based in the United States and is recognized all over the world. It is a professional qualification for individuals who have completed a series of three certifications. This program has been increasingly popular in the past years that it has become the accepted benchmark for technical excellence in the financial market arena.
For one to be qualified for the CFA certification, he or she must have completed a college diploma (or at least be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree program). Those with at least four years of qualified, professional work experience involving professional investment decision-making processes are also qualified.
To obtain CFA certification, there is a need to pass all three exam levels. The Level I exam focuses on tools and inputs with an introduction to asset evaluation and portfolio management techniques. The Level II exam emphasizes on asset evaluation including application of tools and inputs (financial statement analysis, economics and quantitative methods). Lastly, the Level III exam is all about portfolio management, as well as the strategies involving the application of tools, inputs and asset evaluation models in managing fixed income, equity and derivative investments for institutions and individuals.
Candidates have the option to take one exam level per year, with registration fees ranging from US $600 to US $930. This usually depends on the date at which the candidate has registered for the exam. All three exam levels are administered on paper. Should you be interested in registering, visit CFA Institute’s official site for more details.
